Leadership BEHAVIOURS Diagnostic
Understand your leadership behaviour and decide where to focus next.
Developing leadership deliberately starts with understanding how your behaviour is experienced, and then making thoughtful choices about where focused development will have the greatest impact.
The Everyone Succeeds Leadership Diagnostics help leaders build a clear picture of their leadership practice. The Leadership Focus Triad then helps turn that insight into a small, deliberate focus for development, based on role, context, and the challenges being faced.
Together, these tools support leaders to move from insight, to focus, to sustained improvement.

Leadership Diagnostics
The Everyone Succeeds Leadership Diagnostics are designed to help you understand how your leadership behaviour shows up in practice. They provide insight into areas of strength, patterns of behaviour, and potential growth areas, without assuming that development should always start with what is weakest.
Choose the version that best fits your next step. You can reflect on your own practice using the Self Diagnostic, or gain a fuller picture through colleague feedback using the 360 Diagnostic. When both are completed, a combined report brings these perspectives together to highlight patterns and themes that may inform your next steps.
Once you have this insight, the Leadership Focus Triad helps translate it into action by identifying a small number of behaviours to focus on in your current role and context.

Leadership Self Diagnostic
Reflect on your leadership practice and receive a personal report that highlights patterns of strength and areas that may benefit from further attention.
Use structured self-reflection to build a clearer picture of how your leadership behaviour currently shows up in practice.
360 Diagnostic
Invite colleagues to share feedback on your leadership, giving you insight into how others experience your behaviour day to day.
Use colleague feedback to develop a more rounded understanding of your leadership practice.
Combined Diagnostic Report
When both diagnostics are completed, a combined report brings together self-reflection and colleague feedback. This helps surface patterns and themes that can inform professional judgement about where focused development may be most useful.
Leadership Focus Triad
Once you have diagnostic insight, the next step is deciding where to focus your leadership development.
The Leadership Focus Triad helps you turn insight into action by identifying a small number of behaviours that may be most valuable to focus on in your current role and context.
Use the Leadership Focus Triad to identify:
- one Core behaviour to improve reliability and consistency
- one Enabling behaviour to increase impact through others
- one Sustaining behaviour to help the improvement embed and endure over time
The Leadership Focus Triad supports professional judgement. It does not assess, score, or rank your leadership. It can be used independently or as part of a coaching or line management conversation.
Identify one Core behaviour to improve reliability, one Enabling behaviour to increase impact through others, and one Sustaining behaviour to help improvement endure over time.
Use guided prompts to explore a small, balanced leadership focus based on your role and the challenge you are currently facing.
Summary of diagnostic reports

Understanding your diagnostic report summary
Each diagnostic report includes a summary. Example reports can be found on each of the diagnostic pages. An outline of the summary reports can be seen below

Everyone Succeeds Leadership Cycle
Each diagnostic and the Leadership Focus Triad connect to the Everyone Succeeds Leadership Cycle, supporting leaders to move from understanding their leadership behaviour, to choosing a focus, to deliberate practice and sustained improvement.
These tools form part of a growing suite of leadership development resources that will continue to expand through the Everyone Succeeds membership community.
