S11. Break Through Limits – Coach and Practice
This behaviour develops a leader’s ability to think beyond existing constraints and inspire creative solutions to complex problems.

Behaviour focus
Helping leaders and teams challenge assumptions, remove self-imposed barriers, and find new ways to achieve ambitious goals.

Purpose
To cultivate a mindset of possibility and innovation that enables continual improvement and bold thinking within realistic boundaries.
| Action Steps | Key Questions | Practice |
| Identify limiting beliefs. | What do we assume can’t be changed, and is that really true? | Ask the leader to write down three “we can’t because” statements and reframe them as “how might we” questions. |
| Analyse constraints honestly. | Which barriers are fixed, and which are habits or perceptions? | Practise mapping constraints using a chart that maps the barriers as real vs perceived. Discuss how to remove or work around each. |
| Encourage creative problem-solving. | How can you involve others in finding new solutions? | Practise leading a session where all ideas are welcomed before filtering for practicality. |
| Rehearse ambitious thinking. | What would this look like if we aimed 10x higher? | Ask the leader to imagine a bold version of success, then plan one small experiment that moves in that direction. |
